Goderich Port Management Corp.

Raising the elevation of the south pier is just one of five projects designed to reduce wave effects in the Goderich harbour. Design features include a light-weight platform to minimize effects on the underlying sheet pile structure while providing an attractive setting for Goderich residents and tourists to enjoy sunsets and ice cream cones.

This $700,000 project was completed in 2013. BMROSS provided analysis of the existing pier, detailed design of the work as well as contract administration and site review. Other projects in this group include a rock berm extension to the south pier completed in 2006 and a rock berm widening of the south breakwater completed in 2012.
