B. M. Ross and Associates was retained to assess the condition of the existing facilities, evaluate rehabilitation and replacement options, and provide a conceptual design and construction estimate for the recommended solution. This included a review of the offices, garage bays, and storage facilities at 290 Queen St. in Mount Forest.
Interviews and other dialogue with staff members were necessary to develop a clear understanding of the problem and the future needs. Given the site restrictions it was necessary to develop a design that would maximize the usage of the space, avoid increasing the stormwater discharge, and accommodate staged construction.
BMROSS was the lead consulting firm with Adolfo Spaleta Architect as a sub-consultant. The anticipated total project cost is $3.1M. The facility needs study was completed in 2012.
