Alex is a Project Engineer and leader of the Sarnia Group at BMROSS. He is involved in Horizontal Infrastructure projects, including complete road reconstruction, site plans, and new development. His role includes project management, design, approvals, tendering, writing design briefs, road assessments and managing and coordinating staff.
Alex was born in Mexico, made the move to Canada in 2008 and since then has called Sarnia home. Alex started his engineering career in Sarnia in the oil and gas engineering consulting industry, at the same time working on his long path to become a Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. In 2017 he joined BMROSS to work in the civil/municipal engineering world and achieved his goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Engineer. After 8 years at the company Alex became the leader of the Sarnia Group.
Besides work, Alex enjoys everything related to soccer (‘football’ as he calls it), cooking, and volunteering with Engineers of Tomorrow under the Engineer-In-Residence program where he has worked with school classrooms of grades 5 to 7 using engineering and science hands-on projects, presentations, and other activities.
