BMROSS was involved with revitalization and improvements to the Courthouse Square in Goderich following the devastating effects of the August 2011 tornado. On this project, the Town, a Steering Committee and a Planning Consultant developed the conceptual plan and our Horizontal Infrastructure Group provided engineering and technical expertise required to implement the plan.
Ultimately, the Town of Goderich won the People’s Choice Award - Great Street for Courthouse Square in the 2013 Great Places in Canada contest (www.greatplacesincanada.com). The Courthouse Square was one of 5 winners (from 68 nominations) in the annual Canada-wide contest administered by the Canadian Institute of Planners. This project also won an Award of Recognition from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, and a Regional Citation Award.
