B. M. Ross and Associates was retained to evaluate replacement options for the municipal garage in Forest. The options investigated included new build, renovation to the former arena in Forest, and expansion to the Northville municipal garage. To complete the evaluations it was necessary to develop an understanding of the municipality’s facility and operational needs, assess the condition of the existing facilities, and develop different conceptual designs that would address their facility needs.
The impact of relocating the facility would also have a significant impact on operational procedures. While a list of the operational structure and factors to be considered were documented, financial assessment of that aspect of the project was left with the Municipality.
BMROSS was the lead consulting firm with Adolfo Spaleta Architect as a sub-consultant. The anticipated total project cost is $1.4M. The study was completed in 2013.
