Egremont Street extends approximately 1.0 km between Queen Street and Durham Street. BMROSS was retained by the Township of Wellington North to provide design and construction review services for the full urban road reconstruction, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain replacement within a residential neighbourhood. Egremont is also the home to the Birmingham Lodge retirement complex and maintaining access for pedestrian and vehicle traffic was an important component of the project.

As part of this assignment, BMROSS also provided full engineering services for adjacent roadways: 170m of Birmingham Street (Egremont Street to Fergus Street), including full urban road reconstruction and horizontal elliptical (H.E.) concrete trunk storm sewer; 40m of Fergus Street south of Birmingham Street, including H.E. concrete trunk storm sewer and watermain; 80m of Albert Street (Egremont Street to Queen Street), including full urban road reconstruction, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and watermain replacement.

Reconstruction of the road included the design of a paved boulevard and concrete sidewalk along one side of the street in an effort to promote pedestrian linkages in the community.
