In order to prepare for the future, BMROSS and the Town of Erin are worked on a plan to encompass the community’s vision and ideas, while approaching planning and servicing issues in a comprehensive, rational and environmentally-minded way.

The Servicing and Settlement Master Plan (SSMP) will serve as a strategy to ensure that the Town of Erin moves into the future in a safe, sustainable and cost effective manner, while meeting both the long and short term needs of its citizens.

Following the Class EA planning process, the SSMP addresses planning, environmental, and municipal servicing issues including water and sewer systems. It integrates existing and future land uses with infrastructure requirements.

An important contribution to the SSMP process has been public consultation and feedback. BMROSS has worked closely with the community and a Liaison Committee to develop a vision statement that will ensure a plan that's consistent with the expectations of the community.

The final report for this project can be viewed at the Public Information Centre page on the BMROSS website (www.bmross.net)
