The Town of Caledon required the preservation of a steel truss bridge over the Humber River, a designated heritage river. The bridge was also to be converted to pedestrian use only.

BMROSS analyzed the structure and prepared a design and procedures to completely replace the structural steel below the deck and stabilize the concrete abutments. The project involved the conversion of about 100 m of roadway to pedestrian trail. BMROSS also carried out the contract administration, agency approvals and construction review through to a successful completion.
